About the Event
Ifé Franklin and Jeff Robinson are interdisciplinary artists whose work uses creativity as a gateway to memory, dialogue, and collective truth-telling. Ifé is a Black, Queer artist and longtime Roxbury-based community activist whose participatory practice draws on African Diasporic traditions to surface the often-invisible histories of slavery and resilience through visual art, storytelling, and ritual. Jeff is a saxophonist, actor, and cultural curator whose decades-long work at the intersection of music, poetry, and theatre has created spaces where voice, history, and lived experience can meet. Together, they bring deep artistic practice, spiritual grounding, and a shared commitment to culture as both resistance and repair, inviting audiences into a conversation that honors the past while imagining what healing and connection can look like now.
