SNAP benefits, a resource that helps around 42 million low-income Americans, have recently been suspended due to the federal government shutdown. Although a judge has ordered Donald Trump and his administration to issue November Snap Benefits, this ruling doesn't restore aid immediately, leaving millions of Americans struggling. Here in Boston, local organizations are making an effort to help families who may be affected by these SNAP cuts. Many food banks around the city have opened up to help provide food for those who may need it. We want our communities to still have access to nutritious meals. Below is a list of local food pantries serving Dorchester, Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, and Mattapan.
