RYP Internships Applications are open for 2022-2023!
This academic year at RYP, interns in our Learning Artists & Community Artists internships will learn about art and storytelling as a form of resistance. Interns will learn creative digital skills and engage with public art and Roxbury community history.
To learn more about this year at RYP, attend our information session on Monday, October 3rd from 2pm-3pm at UUUM.
APPLICATION PROCESS

Our online application for Fall 2022 is currently open and closes on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 11:59pm.

Interns will be interviewed & hired on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. It is encouraged that you submit your application as soon as possible to be considered as we have limited spots available.

Learning Artists
The Learning Artists internship is a "learn-and-earn" program intended to provide teens with job readiness and life skills, while introducing the balance between academic work and extracurricular activities. Learning Artists will gain skills in photography and videography while exploring historical landmarks, public art, and community organizing efforts in Roxbury. Artists will make a short film centered in Roxbury community narratives for their final project in May.
Community Artists
The Community Artists internship is a leadership-centered program, intended to provide teens with realistic workforce development and support. This advanced photography and visual arts internship explores the intersections of art, activism, and community history. Interns will engage with topics such as gentrification and movement building as they learn skills in event planning, budgeting, and community organizing. Interns will plan and organize the UUUM Community Art Day + Film Screening as their final project in May.
Dual Internship
Dual Internships are for young people interested in working 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday) and participating in a combination of both internships to work towards a community action project. This option is only available to young people who have been through at least one program cycle with the RYP Internships before.
