About the Event

Rating: Easy, walking on mostly flat elevations, 2 miles.

Roxbury is noted as one of the most abundant areas in Massachusetts for public art. This is due to the work of Kai and Chris Grant and their Nubian Square Public Arts Initiative, The City of Boston, the volunteer-led Boston Arts Commission, and private investments by artists, businesses, foundations, and non-profit agencies. This tour will focus on public art in the Nubian Square area with featured stops at Roxbury Public Library, the Bruce Bolling Building, Black Market, along Malcolm X Blvd, and in Jeep Jones Park.
