Opening Doors presents Voices Rising for Democracy

Sing and get out the vote in Roxbury, MA!

The Opening Doors Project, in collaboration with Indivisible Mass Coalition, Dunk the Vote, ACLU Massachusetts, CARE Coalition for Anti-Racism and Equity, and the Club Passim Folk Collective, presents a free performance and get-out-the-vote event at historic Roxbury's Meetinghouse.

Join four award-winning musicians for an unforgettable afternoon of music and conversation: Zakiyyah is an artist-changemaker from Dorchester who mixes opera and hip-hop to craft a sound that is truly, uniquely her own; Pamela Means is an out(spoken), biracial, independent songwriter and guitarist whose “stark, defiant songs” (The New York Times) set both the status quo and stage afire; Anand Nayak is a Grammy-nominated producer, songwriter, and versatile multi-instrumentalist; and host Alastair Moock is a Grammy-nominated and Boston Music Awards-nominated singer-songwriter, social justice educator, and co-founder of The Opening Doors Project.

This FREE community event is made possible by UU Urban Ministry, the Mass Cultural Council, Someone…
