About the Event

Secret Asian Man: a one-person, one act play

Who am I? Is the way I am seen enough? How can we bring the way we are seen closer to how we experience ourselves? Secret Asian Man, an autobiographical play, uncovers some of my struggle to embody these questions: race, culture and my connection with my Kenyan-born Punjabi father. Secret Asian Man is my own nickname for myself. Come find out why.

Dev's Bio:

Dev has been a working actor and teaching artist since 1978. Both his parents were raised in Africa – Zambia and Kenya, which is where his father was born. He trained at East 15 Acting School, London and at Shakespeare and Company, Lenox. He is a father and grandfather and husband, of South Asian and European descent.
