Shelter Needs
For the household:
- Twin bed linens (top and bottom sheets)
- Twin bed comforters
- Pillows
- Silverware
- Laundry detergent
- VHS/DVDs for children and adults
- Wrapping paper
- Tape
Personal Items:
- Full size shampoo and conditioner
- Sanitary pads
- Razors
- Brushes and combs
- Face cream
- Small containers of Vaseline
For the Little Ones:
- Baby wipes
- Diaper cream
- Baby shampoo and soap
- Hand/eye development toys such as puzzles/sewing kits/blocks etc, for kids ages 2-4
Art Supplies:
- glue
- white construction paper
- fresh paint
- markers
- colored pencils
- storage/plastic bins for arts
For our First Aid Kit/Health Needs:
- Antibacterial hand sanitizer (small or large)
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Alcohol wipes
- Children and adult Tylenol
- Surgical masks
- Thermometers
Gift cards in any amount are also always appreciated! (Target, Walgreens, and Stop&Shop)
While Renewal House has limited space for donations, we work closely with these other organizations and encourage you to think of them when you are looking to donate furniture and clothing.
- Cradles to Crayons (cradlestocrayons.org ) provides us with donations of children’s clothing, toys and kids’ "furniture" (cribs, cradles, strollers).
- Circle of Hope (circleofhopeonline.org ) is where we get most of our women's clothing.
- Mass Coalition for the Homeless (mahomeless.org) has a furniture bank that has been helpful to our residents and former residents.
