Who We Are
Delegates

Each member church is entitled to three delegates, who represent the member churches to the UU Urban Ministry and participate in the UUUM Annual Meeting in May. Delegates to the UU Urban Ministry play a critical role in the support and governance of the organization and its social justice activities, and they serve as liaisons between the member congregations and the UU Urban Ministry.

Delegate Responsibilities
  • Attend three or more UU Urban Ministry events during the church year.
  • Join your congregation’s social justice committee or arrange to meet with the committee periodically as a UUUM liaison.
  • Occasionally assist with UUUM fundraising efforts such as our Annual Appeal, Mother’s Day Appeal and any special fundraising projects.
  • Attend the Annual Meeting in May (Please note: if you are unable to attend the Annual Meeting, you can still serve as a delegate).
  • Subscribe to UUUM’s monthly electronic e-newsletter.
  • Include information and updates about UUUM in your church newsletter.
